“The (righteous ) feed the poor, the orphan and the captive for the love of God, saying: ‘We feed you for the sake of God alone; we seek from you neither reward nor thanks.’”
[Quran 76:8-9]

More than 600,000 people in Minnesota are hungry. They live in every one of Minnesota’s 87 counties. They live in cities, on farms, in suburbs, in the country, on lakes, on flat land, in forests, in small towns. One in every ten Minnesotans doesn’t know where his or her next meal is coming from. Of those ten, four are children.

The MAS MN Food Shelf was setup in response to this ongoing humanitarian hunger crisis. We currently provide services in the Blaine, St Paul and Rosemount locations. The program is open to all people without regard to their religion, gender or geographic area. Both Muslims and non-Muslims are welcome to receive service from the MAS MN Food Shelf. We are here to help anyone who needs food. No appointment is necessary. Clients are able to receive food assistance monthly on the designated days. New clients must bring a driver’s license or other ID and request to fill out an application. We accept donations. You can donate funds online or by visiting any of our centers.

  • The MAS MN Rosemount Food Shelf is open to give out food on the second Sunday of the month from 11AM-12.30PM.
  • The MAS MN Blaine Food Shelf is open to give out food on the second Saturday of the month from 11AM-12.30PM.
  • The MAS MN Masjid Taqwa Food Shelf is open to give out food on the third Saturday of the month from 12PM-1.00PM.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Feed the hungry, visit the sick and set free the captives.” – (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
