2nd Annual 5K Color Run & Walk for Autism Awareness
MAS MN Second Annual 5K Color Run & Walk for Autism Awareness
Welcome to the second annual MAS MN Color Run & Walk for Autism Awareness. The 5K color run will take place at Huset Park at 9 am on April 20th.?April is Autism Awareness month and is something that we continue to learn more about. Autism affects all ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic groups. According to the advocacy organization, Autism Speaks, as of last year, 1 in 59 children in the United States were diagnosed with autism. This walk is our chance to come together and to raise awareness about people with autism and show support for their families. We also aim to clear up misconceptions and myths about autism and provide more understanding about autism spectrum disorders. This 5k color run aims to attract every one of all ages from high school students to college students to parents and families all together. We want to promote exercise, unity, and most importantly raise awareness about autism so that we can understand more and better support those on the autism spectrum.
